Pam Jenkinson, Life Change Strategist

Why should you choose to be coached by me when there are so many other life-coaches?

My own life experiences have formed the basis of my passion for coaching.  I have experienced several career changes, “retired”, and then re-trained and set up my own company.  I know the importance of having clarity of vision, gratitude and harmony with my values and beliefs.

I am caring for my husband after he experieinced series of mini-strokes, and I have lost loved-ones.  I  know the turbulent rainbow of emotions which life can bring.

Life is full of challenges.  They are different for each of us.  And we can choose how we respond to every new challenge.

I worked in the UK pensions industry for over 30 years, in various capacities.  My last role, as a Client Relationship Manager took me all over the UK, talking with Boards, Committees, employers and their staff.  I saw that although  financial advice was available, there was no assistance offered to retirees for finding a new direction and identity.

After “retirement” you can look forward to possibly another 30 to 40 years of active life.  “Retirement” is becoming simply a mid-life career change.  It’s an opportunity to pursue new interests and, if your retirement income has failed to live up to expectations, a chance to create new income streams.

I have a BA in Accounting and Finance from Heriot-Watt University.  I gained a post graduate certificate in Mid-Life, Pre-Retirement & Life Planning, from Life Academy in association with Surrey University, which emphasised the advantages of facilitated learning and effective coaching.

I am a Master Practitioner of NLP (Neuro-Linguist Programming), certified by INLPTA (International NLP Trainers Association) and a member of ANLP (The Association for NLP).  I am also an Associate Member of the Association for Coaching (AMAC).

In February 2017, I passed the Chartered Institute of Insurance’s R04 examination on “Pensions and Retirement Planning”.  I ensure that I maintain a professional level of relevant retirement-related knowledge.

Since becoming a coach I have enjoyed assisting clients in making all sorts of life-changes, not only people thinking about retirement.  I appreciate the diversity of the issues that my clients bring to me.  I feel very privileged to be granted their confidence and trust.  Take a look at some of my feedback from clients.

I continue to expand my coaching  skills and knowledge by creating new processes, reading, writing books and blogs, and collaborating with colleagues.  This enables me to deliver an effective, bespoke and inspirational service to clients who are commited to making a change.

I’m loving the “Third Age” of my life.  Life-coaching has, and continues to, guide and support me through many changes in my life.  I know it can do the same for you.

Contact me to discuss how I can assist you.  Then you can tell me when you would like to start.
