Some Shinai tips: we classify our products into bamboo material, standard, and shape.  Among these categories, A~AAA standards often confuse buyers but they are international standards.  One bamboo can be divided into 6 staves.  "AAA" shinai adopts 4 staves from the same bamboo, which not only makes the Shinai look more complete and nice, but decreases the possible friction among the 4 Take because they all grew together before, thus it enhances the Shinai durability.  Theoretically, "AAA" is the highest standard among all Shinai except hand made Madake Shinai.  "AA" means that the Shinai adopts 2 staves of one bamboo and the other two are from other bamboos.  "A" stands for the Shinai which is made of staves from different bamboos.  And a Shinai without "A" is normally made of low quality bamboo or less treated bamboo.  We ONLY use genuine Madake bamboo to manufacture "AAA" Shinai to provide top quality.

How to buy:

We accept bank transfers.  Money wired from UK will take 3~5 days to reach China.  We will ship the batch immediately upon receipt of funds, or on the next working day.  We normally encourage our buyers to use their preferred shipping company, but we can also advise.  The price to ship 10 Shinai (6.5kg) from Shanghai to Glasgow, for example, is 437.2 RMB (price in September, 2009), and it takes 2~3 weeks to arrive by SAL.  Air and Sea shipment are also possible.

The prices in the table above don't include shipping or transaction costs.  Indicative money transfer costs should be no more than £20.  Indicative shipping costs;

Air:    RMB 629.9 RMB (6.5KG for one batch of 10 Shinai)
SAL:  RMB 437.2 RMB (6.5KG for one batch of 10 Shinai)
Sea:    RMB 250.5 RMB (6.5KG for one batch of 10 Shinai)
